Future Of Movie Making

Technology moves at break-neck speed, and the technology of movie making is no different. 3D is the future of movie making as many films are not only now being made in 3D, but original 2D movies are being converted.

Thanks to movies such as "Avatar" setting the tone with advanced 3D technology, the box office seems to be on fire with countless 3D movies now. 3D technology has certainly come a long way since we all sat in the movie cinema with our cardboard red and blue specs, watching Jaws in 1983. "It's as if the shark is really going to get you" screamed a friend of mine, but I just couldn't see it myself, maybe my glasses were on the wrong way round.

Anyway, running down the list of movie releases for this next year and it seems like the whole world is going 3D – okay, keep your hat on, the whole world is already in 3D, it was the movies that weren't.

3D is the Future of Movie Making

Not only are the powers that be now making loads of new films in 3D, they're also busy converting the old 2D films into 3D so that we can buy them all over again. How does that work? Sounds like a bit of a con to me, but probably all of the film buffs will think that it was well and truly worth it.

3D can certainly add that little extra something to horror films. It's bad enough sitting on the edge of your seat waiting for the innocent young girl to be discovered hiding in the wardrobe by the mad axe man, but with the added effects of 3D and surround sound put into the melting pot, there will surely be a serious increase in the number of fright induced heart attacks coming to a cinema near you.
